the way the car is setting now is way to high and don't look right any help would be great .

Ive never owned one of these personally but ive seen them and worked on one. there shouldent be anything different than a normal camaro. Was there any reason the guy said you couldent drop it another inch for? i have my camaro dropped 1.75 and nothing rubs. If my memory serves me right ive seen a convertible slammed myself.
nope no reason, but even when I been looking around for springs a few of them have said not for a convertible , why I have no idea. I just want to know if I order springs that will give me a 1.7 drop if i'll run into any problems.
i know on 4th gen 'verts, they had subframe connectors to stiffen the body to make up the lacking of a roof. i dont know of any 3rd gens that would have had factory installed subframe connectors though, so i dont see any issues
all cars have sub frames. i dont think the 3rd gen though had subframe connectors. that was the reason gm would put the 350 tpi into the convertibles, it would twist the chassis, even in stock form.
easiest way to tell is look underneth. you will see a bar running the entire length of the car. if in doubt, take a picture, i could tell you

Hi microkid, I do know I have that bar running under the car, I just did'nt know what it was lol, so does this mean I will have problems lowering my car? and is there any thing I could do to get a 2" drop, if it can be done I would like to have it done before summer is here. I all so take it putting in a 350 motor would be a no no.
