Default rear end problem

okay so when i stop at a stop sign and i need to punch it to get out, my car while turning and accelerating makes an odd clunking/grinding sound...it only does this when ive come to a complete stop and accelerate into a turn.... when i am at a dead stop and i punch it but dont have to make a turn it doesnt do it....i thought at first maybe the weel was rubbing but i cant see any sign of wear on the tire or car. i figured if it was something involving my trans or rear axle it would do it regardless of me turning or going straight

any ideas on what it might be, itd be much appreciated
