these guys have a vacuum switch for the converter. you might give em a call and see if they have a kit to lock it. i looked for a while and found a few things but nothing in a complete kit. they have some good stuff for the 700r4

Good luck, Casey. I was never able to get my TCC to function electronically. My transmission guy ended up installing a Superior brand hydraulic lock up kit. It SUCKS! Lock up would come in on top of 3rd gear (3rd gear started coming in sooner as well) which made for a VERY violent shift (teeth shaking type shift). The TCC would stay locked at WOT as well. The car would fall flat on it's face from 60mph until 80mph when she would wind back up and pull hard to 120+.
To this day I don't know why we couldn't get the TCC to function electronically. Direct power to the TCC solenoid wouldn't engage it, so we tried a different solenoid and it still wouldn't work. My trans guy as well as his partner(who have about 50 years combined experience) and I spent an entire day running the car up on the rack trying to troubleshoot it.
I plan to drop the valve body while I have the transmission out and remove the hydraulic lock up, and do a few other things to it as well. I'll wire the TCC solenoid to a switch when the transmission goes back in the car and hope that it works. If not I'll live without lock up until I get it working because I can't stand that hydraulic lock up crap.

i took a look at the wiring schematic, the solenoid is supplied constantly with 12v with the key on. the ground of the solenoid is controlled by the computer. that may have been why they couldnt get it to work. i think i will try it out this weekend, if not next week.

well, i spliced into the ground wire and directly grounded the tcc solenoid as the the computer would. no go. i didnt have time to check for power as the day light was running out. im thinking though that when the trans was rebuilt, either the solenoid wasnt replaced or the wiring inside the trans is messed up. so for the time being, its going to be left non lockup
