Default no gauge lights

well i have a 89 camaro and all of a sudden the gauge lights stop working
checked around found that the fuse was blown. quick fix
i alsoo noticed that there was a arc on the tail fuse for the parking lights and it was the holder for the fuse wasnt making a good connection and i figure it blew the instrument panel fuse because they both run to the headlight/parking light switch anyways (back on track)
they worked for about 2 weeks and then they want out i replace the fuse but it will blow out instantly pretty much or last about a min. so its jus the istruament panel fuse that keeps blown now
you guys got any ideas wat i should look for?

ive looked around the fuse block for melted wires anything touching metal.. and such.
do you think its a bad switch?

sounds like a short. follow your wires all the way up to the instrument panel connectors
