on my 87 Z28, the fuel guage is moving around, it will go from half to full and back to half or to however much fuel is in the tank but it keeps moving... is this a sending unit problem or a ground problem, im not sure.. thanks

 

sounds like a sending unit problem

 

Mine does the same thing, I just keep it filled up.

 

Can it be fixed or does the sending unit have to be replaced

 

sending unit has to be replaced and good luck finding a new sending unit for under $180
