so i got a 1983 z28 camaro sitting in my back yard everything fine with it besides it stalls out when you push the gas pedal and black smoke comes out. My ex mechanic said it was a 'sock in the gas tank' and he would have to take it off and clean it and put it back on. he said its due to running the car on little gas. Is this hard to do and how much does it cost??
