door hinges

Default door hinges

Has anyone here had a problem with their camaro doors not closing properly?. I think is the hinges that are messed up.I have to lift the door in order to close them properly.is there somekind of kit to repair them.

The door bushings are worn out. Common problem with any vehicle.

TDS (Top Down Solutions) has a nice beefy kit to repair them, but it's pricey. The standard replacement bushings from the auto parts store will work just fine.

From the weight of the door, the top bushings have a tendency to wear out before the bottoms do.
This is what you need for the top hinge: Top Hinge Pins
The bottom hinge uses the normal long slide pin/bushing set found at auto supply stores.

Thats friggen brilliant! Where were those 3 years ago when I did mine? I had to tack weld my pin in place because the hole was so egged out!

hey thanks i think i will try those on the link. My brother and I were getting ready to take saw the doors completely off and put new hinges , but this sounds like its alot less work, not to mention the hinges are expensive.

And you don't really wanna open that can o' worms, the hinges are welded to the doors.
