Door Hinges, Car Colors
So I was wondering if 1970-81maro doors are the same asf-bird doors cause my door hinges seem to be comin loose, so i was thinkin bout headin out to my local scrap yard, and pullin some off of a car to temporarily (is that how you spell it? lol) fix the problem until i can get some new hinges? also does any one have a good color idea for a 1970 RS? Would Rally stripes go good with it?

If they are just starting to get loose you can put a bushing kit in them. It will cost less then a complete unit from the yard. It should be a pin thru a brass bushing. If the brass bushing is gone the the pin has cut unto the hindge itself then you will need the new hindge. It such a comon problem you are going to have an issue finding them used. I had a 74. By 79 the hindges need replaced.
yeah, i think thats wat happened... but i need to really check the hinges to be sure... the reason i think its the hinges is because when i open the door,it kinda drops a bit as if some one was leaning on it... so do u know if f-bird hinges will work on 'maro doors....also my dad had told me that the little hook the lock the doors on the little stickwhen u close it is also loose.....i know 70-81 'maro doors are thesame....the yard i usually go to usually has a few.... door and all... no interior though...i tries to pull the spoiler off of one but it was a pain... i think i didn't have the right tools...
yes, 70-81 firebird doors are the same as camaros. the spoilers should just be bolted on. they have threaded studs that go through holes in the quarter panel and trunk lid. you can unscrew the nuts from the inside of the trunk
