Default This coolant leak is driving me crazy!

Some of you might remember my post the other day about my newly installed 350 leaking a few drops of coolant from the base of the block, rear pass side. (got it from a friends brother, so I trust the source) So I tightned down the intake, made sure all my hoses were tight and tried to find any telltale signs of leakage...nothing. Let her sit overnight, and there it was again, a quarter sized puddle of nasty yellow coolant. Now, I know people have said 'it could be anything' but the thought of a blown head gasket on an engine I just installed is driving me farking crazy! SO, I ask all youlearned ones.....have you ever seen a 350 blow a head gasket to where it leaks externally? The engine hasnt even been run yet. What else should I look for? Know any good psychotherapists just in case its a blown gasket (cause Im gonna go nucking futs if it is...)

Can you not follow a trail? Automatic? Pull off the converter cover and look around

I am fairly new to 90's Chevy small blocks, so just ignore this if I am way off base here. But, I had a 97 1/2 ton Chevy pickup a couple of years ago, 350 Vortec engine, that had a coolant leak that was driving me nuts. It turned out to be the intake manifold bolts. Apparently, these bolts need to be coated with RTV (silocone sealant) or they will leak. I removed them all and tried the RTV trick, and no more leak. It was not obvious that it was leaking from there, as the coolant would just run down to the back of the engine and pool on the ground under the right rear corner of the block. There was never any more than a few ounces, but it was driving me crazy trying to find it.
