Default Carb to TBI?

Is it possible to have a TBI replace a carb? I've been asked this by a few people and I'm not sure.
So can it be done?

Why would you want to? You can get more power out of a carb easier...

he will need new computer, wireing harness, and then the obvious things past that. Was it a TBI before it was turned into a carb? He may need a new fuel pump if not, i think the TBI wants a little more PSI than the carb wants. But dont hold me to it, do some research before you hold me to that. IF he wants to, he MAY be able to use the current intake manifold. Ive seen adapter plats to take a 4bbl intake and make it work with an OE TBI.

My big question is, if hes gona go through all this trouble to put in a tbi, why not go with a tpi?? it WILL cost a little more, but i think its worth it. Im currently doing the same on my RS. Its a 350 TBI ( off a truck, not the camaro) and runs ALRIGHT, not great, just alright. Ive already bought the TPI itself. They are easy to find on ebay.. just make sure you find a GOOD one and not one like i found.. the actual mechanics are alright, but the harness is rigged, spliced. and an electricians nightmare.. the computer is for some other car all together too. SO BEWARE of liars..
