wats up, i have a 5.7 tpi 89 iroc and i did a valve job on it. I was planning to put some headers on it but i dont wana keep the smog!I already bought the headers (flow tech)non smog legal. It dose have the hole for the o2 censor. i took off the cat last year and it was running good. Would my computer go crazy or will i be ok????have you done it? anything would help.thankss!

 

You will need to keep the O2 sensor because it is one of the things necessary to make the fuel injection work

 

i have a 91Z with the 5.7, after the rebuild i added headers and got rid of all the smog tubes and the pump, had to get a smaller belt but i haven't had any problems what so ever, the AC is going next when i install the underdrive pullies.
