hey i went to get my car smoged and it failed. The car was throwing a code that my cat eficency was below thresholed or somthign like that
the smog results showed that i had jsut the maximum aloud by law for unburn fuel on the test. I have since replaced the cat and both o2 sensors that are mounted on the car. I went back and it was still giveing me the same code any ideas?

at the risk of sounding condescending, have you had a tuneup? sick

 

Apparently your engine is running so rich that the cat can't clean it up. I suspect the engine is not running too well either and most likely misfiring. As Sick mentioned, give it a good tune up, plugs, wires, filters. ETC.. If you are failing emission the service light should be on. You need to get the car scanned and pull all the stored codes, in addition to the cat efficiency codes.

 

i already gave it a tune up new plugs,wires,and all that and the engin is runing smooth it is jstu runing rich and i can find out what the problem is
