Well I have been looking around for a new Camaro. Well new to me atleast. I checked one out the other day the pics weren't the best but information seemed promising. The owner talked a good game but was purely lies. I got there the car had body damage, rust ect. All of which he said it didn't have. This meant his word was crap and no longer wanted my business. This all lead to my next potential car. Now this owner has been truthful in saying he dosen't know if the car will pass emissions or not. He re did the whole top end. He put new head gaskets, headers, timing chain, cam that stuff. I'm trying to figure out whether or not I want to chance this one or not. Time will see. Give me your thoughts on it. The car is a 1979 Camaro. Let me here you roar!

Aaannnddd...this is moving to General Tech because OT isn't serious enough for it.

My $0.02, go and check the car out, sounds like it belonged to someone that at least knew about cars and hopefully that means he took good care of it. In the "Colorado Front Range" counties where it is required that you pass smog any car that is over 25 years old is considered a "classic" and is not required to pass emissions, so you may want to check that out.

Thanks for the tips. Forgot to mention I live in CA and just moved here where smog emissions are the toughest! I did some reading and it looks like here only 1975 and before cars are smog exempt. This camaro has headers which rules it out. Now I'm looking to other camaros for one that will eventually end up with a new home for life! Thanks for the help. Marx
