Default Alarm won't shut off

Last night at about 2am, the alarm on my 92 RS started going off. The car is in the garage, so no one was tampering with it. I can't get alarm to stop. Had to disconnect the battery so it would stop. Any ideas on how to get the alarm to stop???

Thanks for your time.

I had a similar problem with my '98. At first I went to the dealership and after $1200 the problem started back up after a month. I then had a Viper alarm system installed for much less.

What's happening is the computer that controls the your cars security system is malfunctioning. I suggest you get a different security system. The installers should be able to override your cars security system in the install.

Viper is a great system I have the same in my camaro but to MFMFIM with a $1200 repair I would have gone with the viper where you can start your car inside your house for that money!!

I don't disagree with you. I made a mistake by going to the dealership first.
