Default Car won't shut off

I have an 86 v6 2.8L automatic Camaro. I put the car in park and took the key out it and it kept running. It also is hard to shift gears. This all happened at the exact same time. I had to pull a fuse to shut it off. The car is like its stuck in the start position everything will turn on without the key in radio, wipers, etc. I started it today and let it run for a minute and it started overheating. I don't know if the overheating is related to the other two. But any help would be appreciated.

check your ignition switch assembly down on the column, it might be loose and needing adjustment or even replacing. if this assembly gets out of adjustment , the rod from the key wont push the switch far enough to shut off the car or the accessories.

Did you get it solved? Hope so, because thats a long time to have a car just sitting there running, with no way of shutting it off! Just curious about how many days it takes before one has to pop the cap & fill up the tank again, after a car sits for 1 1/2 months on idle? [8D]
