i have a 1982 camaro i have just purchased , and i am not sure if the trans if a 200r or not, its says metric on the pan, but here is my issue, the trans is no good, i have a 700r4 and i am not sure if it will work, because the 700R4 trans is electronic, can anyone help me?

 

The 700R4 is not electronic, the only electrical control is for the TCC which can be easily rigged up for manual control. However, if the transmission is a 4L60E, which looks like the 700R4, it won't work in you car without a stand alone control module. The other problem amy be the bell housing, which came in various configurations.

 

what do i do about the lock up convertor i dont want to burn up the trans, and will the drive shaft fit with the 700R4
