I'm not familiar with AMD hoods. Mine is an OER and before I mounted my gauge set the wipers cleared fine. Of course I can't run wipers at all with the pod mount I have. I put my factory arms safely away, just in case I ever change the gauges.

I like your hood now...L-88's were the thing when we were short toothed...

Now that we are long toothed, the lines of your new hood are much better IMHO

Thanks! I didn't want to go "cookie cutter" hood, but they look good and it doesn't really matter if there are thousands of others running the same thing.

Very nice. wish I had the time to do that to mine. Then I wouldn't have to think about selling it.

Truth be told. I want my stock hood something fierce. I love the front opening tear drop. Plus mine is an early car that the scoop wasn't plugged. If you look in the scoop of most cars the grid inside is one solid piece of plastic. Mine it actually a grid that the hole are open. When I do the LS swap in a few years the stock hood will go back on. The only reason I can't use it now is because the motor sits too high, way too high!.

Here's a pic from right after the motor went in. I think the Moroso solids mounts are taller than stock plus the sheet metal is dropped a 1/2" over the frame.

Probably the rise on the intake and air cleaner style that sticks it up through the hood. My issue was just a taller engine, no matter what I did with intake or air cleaner.

Thats a drop base air cleaner that is currently sitting on my truck. It drops so low I had to add a 1/2" spacer to keep it off the acc. pump on my truck. The intake is a performer rpm. Everyone on Nasty swears theirs fits. Mine obviously doesn't.

WOW! I just saw a 73 T/S on Mecum that went for $42,000. 8,800 miles on it. I don't get how it can have a giant sticker across the windshield saying unrestored and have new paint at the same time???
