I have been bummed. Its been nice, I have been on 1st shift. I thought when I was asked that I would have all this extra time to work on the car. Life has told me otherwise. I managed to clean up a little the other day. I got my new tools put away too.

All I really need to do is cut out the hole in the firewall AGAIN. Then shoot primer on everything. I am going to reassemble from there. I want to drive this year. Paint will be the next spring I hope. It might be for the best anyhow. I can work out all the snags with it being a new car and not worry about chipping the paint. I did it backwards on my 78 and damaged the paint so many times swapping engines that I finally lost interest in it.

When you've got a busy life and a young family it's tough to get much done. I know this all too well, and that's why my Camaro sat so long 20 years ago. Don't give up on it Damon, the longer you stay away the harder it is to get in the mood again.
Don't do like I did and let it sit for 10 years as a catch all for anything we stored in the garage!

Sounds like between family, school, and work you're getting burnt out. Need to really try to set aside a little personal time with you and the Camaro. It really will change your outlook and refresh your interest!

Try not to burn out...Mine sat so long, i thought i would never drive it again..

Make time for yourself.. Reward yourself when you can...

I will never need any reminding how fortunate I am to be working. Here in Mich. EVERYONE is unemployed. We were in hell way before the economy took a dump. The rest of the world just caught up to where we are.

Work is starting to get back to normal. We started up production yesterday. Now we need to run like hell to get parts that are due. I will have more time for the car in the summer. The winter sucks. The lack of daylight just brings things down. Then there isn't any snow this year. No winter sports. Like endless doughnuts in the parking lot. LOL.

Thanks for the advise guys. I don't think I'll lose interest. I am a car guy for real. I were car guy tee shirts. I have a 2 foot stack of magazines and catalogs next to the throne. I will drive this summer.

Any one seen my ambition? I seemed to have lost my ambition. No but really its been in the teens except today, it was 40. I haven't had but one day off this year so progress is still stalled. BUT I e-filed my taxes tonight and parts will be coming soon.

The first two big ticket items this year will be a new hood and a Magnaflow exhaust. I'm stuck on weather or not to get a transverse set up or a regular duel muffler set up. I want to keep ground clearance but from what I've read the kit doesn't go on very easy and Magnaflow pretty much is useless for support. I may just get the two mufflers.

Oh yeah TIRES I got new wheels last year and still haven't set my car on them.

i think the dual mufflers would be better with the power ur putting too, what diameter pipes u gonna run,im gonna try 2.5 first to see if they flow good enough, maybe i need 3 inch but not sure, what kind of hood are u planning,i think a 2 inch cowl hood would look awesome on ur beauty.

There are a lot of lowered Camaros running true duals without a transverse muffler, so I'd say it can be done. With my driveway humps coming off the street mine would scrape easily, but I've never had any issues.

If I can get mine to tuck like jerhoffer's I'll be good. I have seen some that hang below the axle and I don't know if it's because the installer was lazy or what. Some tuck right against the floor.

This is the 2 1/2" kit I like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aj8Rk...yer_detailpage

I think the 2 1/2 will be fine. I have been listening to the clips online. I like the sound of the 3" better but I think it will also be louder. The transverse kits always seem to lean toward the gas tank and they say one pipe coming off the x is too short.

The 3" would cost me some lowend torque but I built this motor around lowend torque. I don't think it will matter. I can give up some and still have traction issues.
Its a $700 gamble that I want to get right the first time. Honestly of all the things I have speced out and agonized over to steer this project along. The exhaust is turned out to be the worst. Who would have thought?
