Well you could have them worked over to larger valve seats and valves. About $300 is what the local machine shop quoted me for new valves/seats, and he said once they have larger valves the small combustion chamber and great runners make them a really nice head.

They're going on the 305. The valves are 1.84/1.5 and the chambers are 58cc. If I spent that on trying to spruce up a set of 305 heads, my Camaro wouldn't talk to me for a month. They're fine as is for what I want to do with them.

The German ride left this morning hurray! I spent yesterday afternoon buttoning it up. I hate when a car sits so long the brakes lock up. The DS Rear was so stuck I had to pry the caliper off it and wire wheel everything. The battery was dead as a door nail too. Took 45min at idle to get it to hold a charge. Took it for a spin and tossed the keys to my bro. I woke up in the middle of the night to call him and tell him I forgot to reinstall the master cylinder cap. Opps. Oddly this car doesn't shoot out brake fluid when you step on the brakes. The cap was still sitting where I left it. All is good. Maybe Camaro next week end.

We tried to drive my neighbor's new '40 Chev coupe to the rod run Sun. and the disc brakes locked up about 1/2 mile from the house. It's sat for 2 yrs., so no surprise.
Looking forward to updates on your car now that everything else is gone from your garage!
