The main connector body looks to be all there. Just missing the one clip connector. If you can't find the correct clip at a wrecking yard, you might be able to bend one up from some spring steel or piano wire, and then use a butt splice to crimp it to the end of the wire. I've got several rolls of different size piano wire and I often bend it up to make clips or springs. Works really well, and holds tension great.

 

I've got a couple places in mind to get ahold of to see if I can find a set of these connectors. There's always the guys on Ebay that part these cars out also. One way or the other I'll get something figured out. Good ideas, thanks very much.

 

I looked at a switch at NAPA today. Yes all the pins were exposed and there should have been a plug. I was thinking yours had the back of the plug missing. Maybe an older style? late 60's early 70's?

The second example is the same as the one in my Camaro also. I haven't pulled the connector off of the switch to see the pins but it looks just like the pic of the one you have also. The PO had the wires all criss crossed when I got the Camaro though, dr side switch would operate the pass side and the down would make the window go up etc. so I had to move them around a bit lol.

Right Val but all the ones I have ever seen have a plastic plug witht he wires coming straight out the back.

This I have never seen until now.

 

Interesting Damon. Most I've seen had the connector with clips as shown. I bet either connector will fit the same switch though.

Funny thing Val. I looked at mine today. Same exactly. Mine has a cardboard cover staked to the stitch to protect from shorts but the same nonetheless.

 

Hey guys/gals (and Happy Father's Day to the Dads) - just had to share a couple of beaut's from the car show this morning in Harbor Springs. Now, you never really know what to expect from a Northern Michigan car show, could go either way. Sometimes there's some really nice cars, and there were a few good ones at this show too, just no hot rods/muscle. And then there were these....


The kids were so embarrassed, I MADE them pose by the Cavalier lol!! The Transport was filthy, and covered in rust. The camper was dirty also and is nothing more than what you see in the pic, a camper. There was a couple of stock early 2000's Mutangs, a Honda 2000, Toyota MR2, a stock 93 Z28, BMW Z3 and a decent Prowler. One did shine though (behind the sweet Cavalier) was the supercharged (LS9?) Corvette resto-mod.
