Default Blower is on.

177 Weiand blower bolted on... was not as easy as it should have been. a few things didn't work as advertised, had to rebuild the alt bracket, and had to do away with the stock cooling fan etc.. but all of that is now behind me. Test drive went well and the car is a lot more responsive...

What did you do for a hood cut out? Looks like quite a bit sticks out.

No hood yet. I ordered a carbon fiber hood for it with 6.5 inches of clearance. Supposed to be here in my meaty little hands the middle of March.

I bolted new rear leaf springs in it today.. I ordered the 5 leaf +1 inch springs.... Unfortunately the car NOW sits an inch and a half LOWER than it did with the old broken springs in it.. I am NOT even amused.... WIll post a pic when I get the hood for it.

I ordered those leaf springs from general Spring
https://www.generalspringkc.com/Default.asp
They will not reply to my mails and I got hung up on when I called.... IF, they had offered to replace them if I paid shipping Id have gone with it.. but instead they are being total jerks... had a new set of springs made locally, and now have the back of the car sitting up where it should be.
434 is supposed to be here in a week or so.. new carbon fiber hood is also supposed to be coming in soon.... Unfortunately spring is here and I am getting inundated with things to get done...

I have a 1979 Z-28 with a Weiand 142 mini blower on a 377 cubic inch small block .And my 6" Glatstek cowl hood barely fits .Even with a Spectre billet air filter top .And heard the 177 is taller .You may have to go with an 8" inch instead .And or some kind of fuel injection .Good luck to you.

Yeah, I've done all the measuring, I should be about 1.5 inches too tall for the hood to fit. I will have to cut the breather base down or make a custom breather for it... Thats the hood I want to use, so even if I have to have the blower base machined etc to make it work, I WILL make it work.
