New guy with a 79 project car to build with my sons
Hi, New guy here.
Picked up a 1979 base camaro this weekend to restore with my two teenage sons. It was a one owner car with 96K original miles on the odometer. Was a fairly solid car with a rust free floor pan and trunk pan. It has a few dings in the driver side door I plan to re skin and damage to the driver side rear quarter (repaired but I want to replace the lower quarter and lose the bondo). The car is a base model with a 3spd manual transmission and a 250 I6. I have a 5.3 LS from an 02 Tahoe to replace the I6. Car came with both new front fender extensions, new core support, new battery box, new headlight trim buckets, and new tail light lenses.
Anyhow here is our new project.
