That is essentially what I was going for. I want to be able to drive it. Ultimately I'd like an od trans and a 350, or a ls BBC. But I'd would like to take a year or so on that one.

Lol, I know it wasn't yelling, I'm just not used to doing things halfway, and it feels like I am going about it that way so I'm torn on what to do.

Hm, well these were mirror finish, but I'd say that there was a hint of centrifugal pattern on them. I will probably end up getting it turned then.

Looking in a box that has been sitting on my bench forever, I found some passenger side seat rails that I did not know I had. lol. Got them from whoever I got the black visors from. Along with a dome light. I can't wait to start putting this thing together. Going to be like a nonstop Christmas.

Cool, Steve. Rub a penny back and forth on the journals. If the copper color shows up on the crank, its time for a cut or polish. If it was a conventional 305/350 crank you could walk in and out without waiting for them to do it. Most around here just take yours and give you one off the shelf for 60 bucks or so. That short throw 327 is probably not gonna be the same way.

I think I am just going to clean this thing up really good, reassemble it, oil it up, bag it and shelf it for a while. I am going to try to continue saving up for that 350 I got my eye on. I'll build this one up for fun sometime. My daughter wants a jeep when she turns 16, that would be a neat motor for an older jeep for her.

Got a couple of new toys. An aluminum Edelbrock waterpump, I cleaned it up a bit, I'll get it a bit better sometime. Also got some nice pulleys, they don't match, but they should look better than stock.

And this is my 327, I think that this is about as far as I am going to take it for now, it is all cleaned up, oiled up and about a billion times better than it was. I do have to finish up on the rods and pistons though. I'm going to get the 350 I've had my eye on.

327's are pretty desireable engines, and well worth hanging onto! I'd say build it before building a 350, but if you find a 350 cheaper, then that would be OK too. You could sell the 327 to any rodder looking for an old hotrod engine.

Hey Steve, you make any progress toward getting your headliner made yet? Also as far as your pulleys not matching, dont feel bad, mine don't exactly match either, the power steering pulley on mine is alot brighter and shinier than the rest, and the holes dont look exactly the same as the others,so you aren't the only one haha.

I don't know, I actually just fell in love with this:

Not sure if it can accommodate power steering though.

Edit: And right there I see that it can, via a V-Belt! This is only like $105 too.

That's not V belt, it's just a smaller cog belt to connect the power steering pump. Nice thing is you can go to a 6-71 later without buying all the cog pulleys!
