632ci engine installation in 78 camaro
Personal tastes hmmm, the boze injected wheels have some great details; I'd pick them, but I don't know the weights. I have seen the lateral G on some 2nd gens its pretty good. The Boost wheel looks pretty rad, its smooth, less detail, may work better with the car's paint having the racing stripe/stripes flames or whatever. like camo pants and a black T, not a Hawaiian shirt. Just depends what's going on yeh. I reckon the injected wheel could do the trick either way. I would color match them though instead of breaking up the colors to too many colors, I'm a painter designer builder inventor.
Hello again, yes things moving slowly at the moment. But at least not stopped.
Had a look at the jegs engine. nice as well. But I have been dreaming about Tom Nelson all my entire hobby time. First I was going for the 632ci from Tom Nelson but I changed my mind. I fancy his 572 Hot rod series with dart block and dart aluminium heads, 1050 dominator (specially tuned by him to be streetable).
The tranny will be th400 specially built by Kilgore. And rear ratio will be 3.55. I decided this ratio for the reason of the torque convertor 2500 rpm stall. So if I drive at 2000 rpm, the slip percentage will not be enough, and with a good transmission cooler, will keep the tranny cool. Well we have to see...
My calculations are:- 2000 engine rpm on the third 1.00 ratio the car will be doing around 70KPH with 295/35/18 tyres. This is my driving speed for where I live. This is more than enough for here. When I want more speed just press the pedal and will reach more or less 210KPH..... I think this is more than enough.
Would like to have some replies on this.. Perhaps other people has other ideas. I know about the 4L80 but I would like to stay with the TH400.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Although my first preference was the Injected, I like the Boost because they are smooth and plain. Painting the centre of the wheel same colour as the racing stripes with polished lip. I need something that looks plain rather than eye catcher everywhere.
Perhaps I may have the ALS bug catcher as well coming out of the original hood. What you think?
I am finalising my order on the TH400. I have the below questions possibly I will have some feedback from you.
1) What shall I use Full Manual Valve Body or Automatic/Manual Valve body?
2) Will a Transmission with a deep oil pan interfere in anything? Or do I need a standard oil pan?
Thank you

2) Again, this depends on your stance, and driving habits. If it sits low, and you go fast over speed bumps, or uneven driveways, you're going to possibly hit. But you can fabricate a "skid plate" on each crossmember inline with the trans pan, which would hit before the pan and protect it.
