This is an alternative way instead of welding the 4 link brackets to the chassis.

Of course welding was easier and faster and permanent. I wanted something that can be removed if needed.

It took me hours and hours of work but I am very happy that the tapers washers and bushings came so close.

Clamping will be by 10.9 grade bolts M15 and lock nuts.

This is my new fuel tank from Ricks Tanks including the immersable fuel pump and fuel quantity sending unit. All made from Stainless steel. Beautiful workmanship.

This will replace the old fuel tank. Nothing wrong with the old fuel tank but I needed it stainless steel with the inbuilt aeromotive fuel pump -10AN fittings.

Lookin good so far. Curious, what prevents the frame sides from pushing in and letting those collars slop around and egg out the holes? Maybe there's more I don't see in the pics.

If I got your pint right and to explain more in detail, the long bushings which go from the inside, will go through the frame and touch the face of the outer side of the frame. On the other hand, the outer tapered "washers" will clamp the outside of the frame. So clamping will be like a vice on both faces of the outer frame. The face of the inner bushings will be also welded to the inner frame so they cannot be moved either. Also the outer tapered washers will also be welded round to prevent sliding. The Frame sides cannot be pushed inwards at all time.

I like to hear comments. I wanted to share this idea to others. It took me so much time and effort to file the bushings to bring them the correct taper.

When I mocked up everything, I torques to 150 in/lbs and it was more than enough. Torque of the bolts can be higher (not lubricated).

You can tug from that anchor points believe me.

Thanks for liking my idea.
