sounds like it will do the job an then some mine is built to handle about 550hp ,mine was remaned an has held up great,i think they said mine was from a truck too ,mine needed a 6 inch exstention to work with my stock drive shaft ,the th400 that is what i would go for is on my BBC Bucket list if it works out, i want to do like a 540 to 565 BB ,in a 1992 back to a 1974 camaro ,skip white has a few around 8k around 700hp for a turn key engine ,i like bang for my buck too though, that after an the ls1 first with some upgrades ,but to get my 406 build paid for is a few years down the road still,i am trying to find a 98-02 ss with low miles with a rebuild title the right one can be had cheap ,i want to make one of them show car like you or slash track car

[QUOTE=Camaro 69;716615]Switch Pitch TH400[/QUOTE
Happy new year to ALL.
Thank you Camaro 69 for the attachment.
My engine accepts a 3000 stall convertor. Now perhaps most of my driving is at 2000 engine rpm, my engine builder recommended to make my tranny with the switch pitch TC so that I can switch to 2000 when ever am cruising below the 3000 rpm or switch to 3000 stall when engine rpm is over 3000. This will reduce heat and slippage.
New for me. So I need to be familiar with this.

Does anyone recommends a brand and code for a gold paint that can be used to paint the engine block and the intake?
I am more inclined to paint the block and the intake manifold bright gold. It will match the bright silver of the engine bay.

For a spray can application, VHT hands down. These are the metallics, they have standard & factory colors as well: VHT Engine Metallicā„¢ -- High Heat Coating

Hello All, Hope you are fine.
It has been quite long that I have posted some information on here. At the moment I stopped working on my Camaro. No chance at all due to work issues.
I got my 572 and TH400 sorted. Waiting for the engine builder to make the dyno run of the engine. Almost a year since I placed my order for the engine ... The engine is coming quite nice.
I need to buy a sheet metal hood with the cowl induction - 2" or 2 3/4" height. There are quite few brands that make these hoods. Below:-
1) Auto Metal Direct Hoods 300-3570-2 2" height @ $296.99
2) Goodmark Steel Cowl Induction Hoods GMK4021200701 2" height @ $449.97
3) Key Parts Steel Hoods 0804-035 2" height @ $322.97
4) OER Authorized Hoods 1680403 2.75" height @ $309.99
5) Sherman Hoods 697-28 2" height @ $477.97
Does any one know what is the difference between them or if they have the same shape of the hood? Any one had installed or had experience with the above manufactures?
Any response will be appreciated.
Prices varies between $250 to $500
