That's funny! LoL. All that oil is from oil spraying(under coating)for the first 15yrs of the cars life. The tranny pan gasket leaked a little but oil spray is what all the rest is from.

Picked up my 79 Z28 hood scoop from the paint shop yesterday, turned out pretty good. Does need some water sanding and buffing after I get it installed. I had the middle painted flat black to break up all the gloss black on the hood. Hope fully it looks good once installed.

That's a big difference when bolted together. I agree get a hold of the manufacture and let them know. That's the only way things get fixed.

I went a head and emailed the tech line. The next day Chris emailed me back and after exchanging photos of my header situation and my argument about what maybe wrong, in the end he insisted it was my body mounts and that was it. He did say though, if changing the mounts doesn't work, to go ahead and heat them to give me the clearance needed.
Go figure!!
I tried to call the tech line but it was impossible to get through.

Funny thing is my car has solid mounts that set the body 1/2" lower on the frame. My headers still fit like a glove.

Heated and bent the passenger side hdr today, moved it an 1-1/4". Bolted it up and have plenty of clearance.

Sounds like Flowtech will be on my long list of companies I wont buy from. Ignoring the issue, or blaming your mounts is an excuse to not fix their jig problem.
