Default Question about grill styles

Hi,

I'm a new member, and I have a 1972 Camaro I'm going to be rebuilding. I have the body plate and VIN info, and I've decoded both. But I'm looking for some further details in terms of the grill styles of the 72s. I've been all over the NastyZ28 website, but I cannot seem to find anything that defines the different grill styles, or which one were used on what packages, or why? And it seems like I've seen every possible combination of grill, bumper, and turn signal lamp configuration on all types; Coupe, SS, RS, and Z28. I'm hoping somebody can help me with this...

1. Split vs. Single bumper - what determined which of these bumpers were used?

2. Round, above bumper turn signal lamps vs. oblong, below the bumper turn signal lamps. Again, what styles or packages used which?

3. I've read in a few places that no Camaros were made in the Norwood Assembly Plant in 1972? And yet, my info says my car was made in Norwood on the second week of November 1972. Is it safe to assume that what I've read is not true? Anybody know the trivia around this?

I guess that's all for now. But I'll likely become a very regular poster here as I get started with the rebuild\restore. Thanks for your help!

Solid bumper with the lights below the bumper is the standard model. Round lights up higher, with split bumperettes, and front nose extension, is the RS model.
They were built either in Norwood or Van Nuys. Here's some decoding info:

All early 2nd Gen Camaros were standard with one piece bumpers and lights below the bumper, except the RS. However, a RS option could be added to any Z/28 or SS and it then got the RS split bumpers, urethane nose, divided grille, and round marker lights above the bumper.
