Haven't posted on here in a while, but I was wondering if I needed new valve springs to go with my new cam. I decided to go with the hydraulic flat tappet Xtreme Energy 262 by Comp Cams.(http://www.jegs.com/i/Comp-Cams/249/...oductId=746624). Motor was rebuilt about 11,000 miles ago and didn't know if I should change out the springs or if the ones already in there would be good enough.

 

Tough one to answer, as I don't know what springs you have now? Are they factory double springs, or single springs? If single factory I'd change them.
