You need more info than that. You also need tire size. I'm not sure of the exact Formula

Sounds like a 3.73 now, I've got 4.10's and they tach 3000 @ 60 mph. I don't know what You want though.

the lower the gear ratio the slower your takeoff. if your wanting highway gears 3:23 or 3:42. Sick

This is not a direct formula but here it is. If you enter a mph and different gear ratios over and over you will find the gears your looking for.

(MPH*rear gear ratio*336)/Tire diameter

4.10 is a low gear ratio, 3.42 is a high gear ratio. Lower gears launch quicker and top out sooner, unless you got a screamer motor that makes power up high. Adding an overdrive unit will give you the best of both worlds. You can keep your low gears and still get highway drivability with good fuel mileage. We are a Gearvendors retailor, they are pretty nice, It turns a 5 spd into an 8 spd. with the ability to split each gear. Or you could just swap out your 3 or 4spd trans for a 5 spd gearbox.
