Default Engine block VIN Stamping

I am looking at a 72 Camaro big block 396 which said to be a "numbers matching" car. The last 6 of the VIN are 130021 and it appears that the two "0s" stamped into the block are altered "9s" with the bottoms stamped out. I know that things were crazy at the plant this year with months of strikes and many cars scrapped, so am wondering what you all think about the originality of the VIN stamped into the block? Was it changed on the line? To have the 13 at the beginning and the 21 at the end match is kinda crazy. HELP!

Have you checked the date stamp of when the motor was assembled to the date the car was built on the trim tag? Both dates should be in close ranges of each other. Also check the suffix code at the end of the engine assembly plant date stamp to verify if it was available as an option in a Camaro that year.
