Default 1981 camero help

I have a 1981 camero with the 267 4.4. So the engine keeps dying out on me after driving for more than 15 mins if I stop at at stop light or in a parking spot it will die and not start for at least an hour. I changed the coil and the ignition control moduel. Any ideas?

did you check for spark when it wont run. also is it getting gas then as well. check the fuel filter, dump into clear container and have a look, dump from tank side of filter, see if you get water or crudd

I checked for spark and it had fuel in the air filter the I took it off to check the carb. I was debating on adjusting the carb also changing the fuel filter like you suggested thanks for the help I'll give that a try

could be not enough fuel or too much, fuel in the air filter, is that correct, sounds like too much. carb float may be sticking open (to much) or closed (not enough)
