harmonic damper?
Am restoring a 67 RS SS convt. from a pile of pieces that's been apart for 25 years, there are pieces from 4 different engines in the mix, the original is the 295/350 which is about back together. the harmonic damper is the issue, in the parts I have there is a 6-1/4" rubber dampened one, the other isa small steel hub about 4" in diameter, both accept the 3 pulley arrangement I need. There are two timing chain/cam covers, one appears to fit with the steel hub damper and has two timing tabs on it, one above the other. The other oneappears to be made for an 8" damper as the pointer is about1 1/2" away from the 6-1/4" damper when both areinstalled on the engine. Both the steel hub and the 6-1/4" have the timing mark over the keyway! Is the steel hub correct for the 67 application?? In looking for parts I don't see any listings for a 67- 350 damper?...hipirn
