Default 68 Camaro Big Block with Powerglide

Hi Everyone,
Not sure I'm in the right forum so apologies in advance.
My 68 has an I6 and I got a 350 which I took to the machine shop and it turned out both the heads and the block were bad (oh well).

Anyway, I found a cheap big block but I'm concerned about using that with my powerglide tranny.

I've read a number of opinions but most of them are around racing and I have no intentions of racing. I pretty much intend to cruise around town on the weekends and an occasional road trip.

Is a big block with powerglide a good idea?
Are there any modifications that would need to be done for this combo?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks everyone.

It will work just fine.
Just be sure you use the correct frame stands to move the BBC over to the pass side and change the heater core to a BBC from SBC. You will have to cut new holes for the core tubes to connect the hoses because SBC location of the nipples will interfere with the BBC valve cover.
You use BBC frame stands, get a BBC trans crossmember to keep the driveline angles in check and a bigger radiator and a BBC fan shroud and BBC accessory brackets.

Snowball Effect here...
