Sounds like a great setup. Assuming you want to go around corner well step one in your suspension upgrade should be to stiffen the body. The rag tops from the factor are like wet noddle's. Just jack the car up from under the control arm and see how far one tire can come off the ground before a second lifts. When you hit a corner hard you will only be on 3 wheels. Adding stiffer suspension upgrade parts can make this issue worse. In fact the GM engineers said if you make the suspension stiffer you could damage the unibody in hard turn. This is why there is no such thing as a 1st gen Convertible Z28. GM marketing wanted one, engineers said not only would the harder suspension not help, it could twist the body before the car was out of warranty.

The minimum you should do is https://www.hotchkis.net/product/196...assis-max-kit/
This will keep you from damaging the car and allow for light upgrade. It still can not be a serous corner carver until you go full Tubular frame frame. The X-frame support design allows for more exhaust options.

My 67 has a stock restored and maintained front suspension and it ride very nice but if I wanted to go fast around corners I would be in and upgraded hard top. My 93 Z hard top is an insanely ridged car.
