I made some pretty decent progress this Saturday. It’s almost totally blown apart. Someone had taken out the dash previously, lots of broken and glued plastic dash pieces. They had also removed the passengers side front fender and didn’t put all the bolts back in. Not too big of a problem since I broke several bolts taking the fenders off anyway.

You are getting there. Just remember...these projects are like archeologic digs.....the deeper you go the more you will find that needs repairing. The blasting will really tell you what's going on.

You couldn't be more right Orocker. I should be ready to blast after this weekend.

just had to subscribe. I love watching and learning. Are you going to do the blasting yourself? And good luck with the project you are off to a great start.

Are you going to strip the vinyl off before blasting? If so, Are you going to replace it afterwards?I guarantee if it is Factory it will be hiding some little nasties you will want to take care of.

Hey Shaneomac. I'll blast the small engine parts but I’ll have a guy with a portable basting rig come by and do the shell and maybe the frame if I have enough time to get it stripped otherwise I can do the frame myself.

You’re right psy4s. I pulled the vinyl off and I can see where they joined the roof to the quarters. The lead joints are really rough. I’m going to put vinyl back on but I will make sure the joints and roof is smooth.
