My rebuild
#14
And so it begins Orocker. I spent too much time messing with the carb to get it running so I could move it. Did lots of talking about what I want to do next on the car. So as you can see I didn't much done. Next weekend will be a very different story.

Don't loose faith
You are still falling into the deep end. I wouldn't set down and make a written plan till you blow it apart, then take a legal pad and make an actual list of what you want to do with it, and just how far you want to go. Don't set a Time limit, but an actual project limit. If you look at my build, I have gone as far as you are going to go with this if you are going to do it correctly. If you stick to the list you will keep some of your money, and mostly your mind. I promise you will reach a point where the build will stop going backwards, and it will start making progress. It just takes some time.

I still consider myself a year from being completely finished, If it is ever really completely finished.
It has taken that long on just the body work. I started the first cuts in January, and it was just painted about five weeks ago.

Great advise PSY4S. It takes all I have not to start ordering parts right now. Just like you recommend, I want to have it completely apart and asses the situation before I start with the credit card. I was hoping to get all the inside panels off this past weekend. Next week I’d like to get the rest of the interior panels, the doors, trunk lid and hood all off and have all the dash out. Time permitting I’d also like to have the fenders and glass out but we’ll see. I really need to get it on the rotisserie so I can see what I’m really in for.
Great work on yours BTW. It looks fantastic.

Mine was done with soda. Got nice results. I would say order only as you need. The guy who did the body work on mine did that cause he didn't want allot of body panels sitting around getting out of shape. I basically threw money at it whenever we needed stuff. Time is a funny thing with projects like this. You set out to do something simple and you end up spending most of a sat on it. You will have many days like that. Sometimes we only got to it one weekend a month. Now we are working as much as possible and life just seems to get in the way........allot.
