Since you have an alum rad, you may want to run a ground wire from the rad bracket to neg battery post or stick a star locker washer between the rad and support as this will protect rad from electrolysis - minute current flowing through alum creating corrosion.

Just be sure to monitor your charging system performance when idling and low rpm, since your electric fan need is only when in city driving. Out on the open highway, you don't need fans. I switch mine off when on the open road.

Just look at stock battery cable. It is sized for is correct for the short distance it runs. As it gets longer it needs to get heavier to maintain the volume. Next time you are at a car show check out the older cars and check the wire sized needed for 6 volt system. Also take into account the starters were not starting 10:1 compression V8s. Back in the days before kits battery relocation was done with welding cables.
