Hydroboost brakes

RE: Hydroboost brakes
Just to let you know a hydro boost (hydraulic power brake unit )replaces the vaccuum booster
for power brakes it runs off the power steering pump.Dont have to stand on the brake pedal with my *** off the seat to stop that big block. This is old school tech from dieseltrucks.
Dont you guys watch Overhaulin or V8 tv or read Hot Rod. Or are you pulling my leg.

Gotta hand it to ya buster, you sure are taking this pounding like a trooper. Most new guys would have left and never looked back by now. its worth, at least, an e-beer... so heres to ya.
This hydroboost, i've never heard of it before. I watch overhoulin but nevr heard of the other show and hot-rod mag is too 'uppity' for me anymore, I want to read realistic tech articles.... how many people here really need to know what the best setup for an 870ci engine would be... or what combo won the pump gas drags (well, that article is actualy interesting). So , no pullin legs, and had we heard about it before you wouldnt be having to put up with the H&D. Got any pics of your set-up?

RE: Hydroboost brakes
Prime example of where a little knowledge goes a short way. For those who don't know, a hydro-boost system does run off of the power steering pump as described. But why do that you say? Engines with a big cam don't always produce enough vacuum to drive a conventional power brake booster. So the hydro-boost assists the brakes hydraulically instead. I could post a link, but I don't want to "spam" this post. You can Google it, or could have, before bustin some lug nuts!
