That is a nice looking setup. Good job!
Is that still the old style p/s pump on your car? What vehicle donated the hydro system?
Did you have to do any mods to the firewall to mount the unit? Did you hook up the electrical backup on yours?

Thanks in advance, I am really interested in one of these for a street rod I am working on.

Thanks. Yes, its the old saginaw style pump. Some folks say it robs HP, but I havent really noticed it at all, probably because it dynoed at 405. The pump works perfectly, no whining etc. The hydroboost syst I bought on ebay, theres a guy who rebuilds them, paints and sells them, recharges the nitrogen gas cylinder etc. I was the only bidder and got it for $97 bucks. Then I bought the hyd line kit from classic performance products for $259, so I spent about half what a new system costs from them. If you go this way, just some advice, It really stops well, almost too well. You need to be careful pushing on the pedal, its much stronger than vac brakes, at least with the SSBC conv. kit I installed. The elect back up is an additional piece that I didnt order from CPP, will eventually get it, But I wanted to get this set up and running first.

Thanks for the info.
In your opinion, would two Wilwood adjustable prop valves (one front & one rear) be able to stiffen the pedal and get better control? I am thinking of using this system on a 41 Chev which could be a risky proposition with a hyperactive brake pedal.

Thats a tough question..Im not using any prop valves on this car, just the normal dist. block. The brakes start to grab with about 2 inches of pedal travel, and is a very solid feel. They grab alot more and alot sooner now. If you are wanting to reduce the pressure to the calipers a bit (not sure if those wilwood valves are adjustable??)by being able to dial it up or down, Id think it would probably work very well, but Im a long way from being a brake expert, I know just enough to get me by.
