I have a hurst comp plus shifter that the lever where the handle bolts to comes straight up and it has a short Indy H handle on it. Will this work in a 69 w/console or do I need a shifter that the lever is offset?

You need the offset one ,to use with console. won't get it into reverse without offset and console.
