I have 79 Z,does anyone know the difference in a Hurst competition plus shifter assembly for cars with consoles or without ?
The reason i asking is the shifter that is in the car know is itm and i have a Hurst from a z that did not have a console,but this one has one.

I'm gonna say just the stick. The shifter body should be the same. I biought my set up for my 76 Nova 10 yrs' ago at least. I bought the shifter for a Camaro though because the tranny was a Borg Warner Super t-10. Not available in the Nova. I don't remember being asked with or without. Did'n't they all come with a console. The stick number is 8009, hope this helps.
