speed limiter on 2011 LS

Default speed limiter on 2011 LS

Do yall think if i buy tires from my dealership that have a higher speed rating will the dealership up the speed limit to the new speed rating?

I highly doubt it. You need to send your PCM to the people at PCMforless.com and have them tune the speed limiter out of the computer. I've also heard that turning on your hazard lights will disable the speed limiter.

thanks for the tip ill check em out i want to do new cat and headers but dont think that will keep me under my warranty lol

I think any kind of modification like that will void your warranty.

You could call the dealership and ask if they would reflash the computer if you got high speed tires. It is only a 15 minute job for the dealership.

I guess ill ask them if they would flash it if i bought tires some where else vs them, i know the dealership has jacked up prices on everything!
