So I have read for the V6 the speed limiter is at 107, so ya I know it can go over a little you know. But I have repeatedly gone over, for example I was able to cruise at 120 on the drive home easily. Does anyone have any idea?

I have gone past 120 many times in my 1996 3.8.I don't think mine has a limiter on it.

Depends on the Factory installed tires, Z-rated no Limiter.

 

Speedo is prob off...my said I went 125mph, but the stock govern is 118mph, so my speedo must be off

 

Mine has been over the 120 mark many times. I was surprised the first timeI got to 110 and nothing shut off.

 

I've heard from some very knowledgeable sources that the stock govern is 118mph...maybe there wrong, but I trust them (I figure if they have a 11 sec V6 they prob know what there talking about)

yea my car is limited at 118mph only done it once. i was in 5th gear at 118 at 3400rpm. so yea if the limiter was taken off the car would still have room to git up and go.
