well this isn't a race story but nonetheless worth telling. I was out in my Z and pulled into a gas station to get gas when a Nissan 240SX pulls up next to me revving, gets out and his passenger yells out " I dont think he wants any" then the driver continues to tell me how he is pushing 450 HP to the wheels.... I got my gas and continued on my way home with the passenger still obnoxiously yelling things out the window.

 

Something similar happened to me over the summer. I had my 86 Monte Carlo SS out for some gas. Guy and his loudmouth passenger who combined couldnt be over 30 started talking crap about how his dodge magnum (which was probably his moms) was pushing like 450 hp. My SS at the time was running a forged 355 TPI setup with a 700r4 bullet proof trans and tci streetfighter tq converter. Never dynoed but I would assume someplace in the low 400 hp range. I laughed and got my gas and went on my way. I dont race anyway.
