Look at the buick GN 3.8Lturbo it would run 13's off the show room floor and its a 6 banger.

 

It would also out run any factory fox body gt with out even trying and give any factory F-bodys a good run. Im not sure what the timesof thea factory350 tpi and the lt1 are but i would say low 14's if im not mistaken.

 

the fastest bone stock turbo buick was the GNX , but they are VERY rare , the next in line was the GN and they ran anywhere from a 14.2 - 13.8 depending on options. stock to stock they give the LT1 cars a really good run in the 1/4 (pretty much door to door), but the LS1 cars are quite a bit faster that the turbo Buicks in stock trim.

 

I agree.. I almost feel bad that I can't represent camaro's when racing a stock 4banger owned by someone at school. Big V8 should kill 4banger any day if they're around the same year, but the newer ones are just way over-engineered. The ford focus svt... It's DOHC and it put up a good fight against me a week ago when I raced it. I beat him, but not by much. It was almost embarassing because kids these days don't understand that its not all about engine size or the V8 label... and they started calling my pretty camaro a POS cuz a SVT could keep up with it. I'm thinking it's more jealousy though. All I had to say to them was, "it must be nice to drive mommy's car to school. I like your air freshner"

Not only does that **** me off, but I saw a third gen camaro two weeks ago with the V6 being driven by an asian, and he turned that into a lil ricer. I nearly cried at the sound of the lil asian fartcan on the back. It really gives real camaro owners a bad name.

 

It doesn’t matter what you drive. You could have a blown 02 SS in mint that was flawless and people would still be criticizing you. Lots of people in school don’t understand. And Like to point fingers. The Focus SVT comes out at I believe 140 hp. People will always find away to put you down. You could have a vette people would say it’s too expensive, you could have a 73 TA with a 455 they would say it’s too hard on gas, You could have a 93 civic hx people would say it’s a pos. It doesn’t matter as long as your happy with it and it gets you from place to place is all that matters some times.
