yeah, the stock STi is an HO motor single turbo with 300hp. i dont know the stock boost but i believe its over 10psi. I know the evo is 18psi stock, however its a standard I4 and doesnt make quite as much power. I dont know why the flat motors make more power, just something in their design. the WRX is an I4 turbo as well.

I think I could beat a stock 03 Cobra, b/c the guy with the C5 vette with bolt ons I raced said he beat a stock 02 C5 Z06 in his Vette. And he now owns a cobra, and he said a stock 03 cobra is a very good race with a C5 Z06, so I think that means I can beat a cobra. But regardless, I think I do so well is b/c I know my car too well and it's optimal shift points and the opposition just doesn't drive too well then.
The 03 cobra stock ran 0-60 in 4.9 seconds, and the 1/4 in 13.4 @ 110 or so... my then stock c5 with my exhaust and PCM, was 0-60 in 4.0 flat and a 1/4 of 12.65 @119.. So its " close" but in a race, half second is a looooonnnng time... So can you beat a Cobra? Yeah, probably, ( one pulley swap will change that lol ) but ill run ya now with my Vette
a bone stock cobra should hit 12.6 or thedriver isnt doing something right.
Partly correct, I HAVE seen "stock" Cobras run that time, but they do a pulley swap that is available from ford, So it can be considered factory, but out of the box with the 4 inch pulley and 390 HP Was a low 13 from stock, reason being, they were heavy and traction limited, they used the same tires as the corvette did, Eagle F1's, and were very traction limited. Slap on some nitto's, and it will dip into High 12's without a pulley swap. I was just quoting out of the box times...

The car is probably capable of hitting 11's. Others have done it with the mods that I have and they've gotten the times down to 11.7's on the stock turbo. But it is an extremely rare case.
I'm calling straight BULL!!!!! Do you have any idea on how much you would need to do to hit 11's? The car is 13 something car out of the box. Then to drop about 2 FULL sec by just adding pump gas and upping the boost? There's no F'in way. If that was true don't you think there would be insane STI's out there running 9'? I almost bought a STI with 546WHP. The time slip he had said 10.4 I believe. That was with a fully built motor and huge turbo. I know quite a few STI's around here and some of them are done up quite a bit and still not running in the 11's. They're constently getting wacked by full bolt on f-bodys with spray. I've always wanted 1 but they cost a chitload to mod. I'm not saying it's not possbile to get a STI in the 11's, I'm also not doubting you're in the 12's but 11's is a little too much. Maybe I've missed something but can you tell me everything that's done to your car. I'd run you in my 00 SS.
THANK YOU!!! Im not the only one who call's this guy on his bull****...probably drives a smart car...lol

to be honest i didnt believe him on his 11s either. i know a guy who has one of the previous styles (before the wagon) STi and has every bolton, computer controller, and boost maxed out.... basically just like this guy, and he could barely pull on my friends mustang on spray which ran 12.5's at the track.

Yeah, Those cars are quick... But it takes more than 400 BHP to hit 11's in the 1/4, AWD or not...

this is true. i agree completely with u there. really, im making 400rwhp probably with this new cam, and I expect low-mid 12s assuming i get a good launch.... (probably will take a new clutch to get there though).

my old mustang has set up just like my friends who i mentioned in my last post. he was around 375rwhp and could hit 12.5-12.6. id believe 12s for this guy, even low 12s seems sketchy. i believe he has the car, but i doubt he really has a time slip. just like that guy that posted around here a bit ago.... cant remember what it was all about. that guy that ran "12.8" in his v6 camaro?
