I was crusing with a GTO, SRT4, and a couple of Z28's last night. And one came next to me and instigated a race.

I talked to him earlier that night and he had an intake, full exhaust, and some headers, but he was not tuned yet for his mods.

The Runs: 1st Run: we went from a 30mph punch to 100mph and I put 2 cars on him.

2nd Run: we went from 60mph to 120mph and I put 1 to 1 and half cars on him.

After that we called it a day and went our seperate ways. Then later on that night I put race gas in my car. I was also tuned for race gas by the way. A friend of mine in his tuned vette called me to see if I wanted to run.

Next Competitor was a 99 C5 Vette 6 Spd with intake, headers, exhaust and some other misc. stuff, but he was tuned for his mods. We went at it twice from a 60mph roll and I pulled him by half a car all the way to 125mph. He was slowly creeping up, but I let off b/c cops were on the other end of the freeway.

 

what year were the z's? a stock 98+z28 makes 300rwhp. so u must have a little more power than your sn implies

a 99c5 with full exhaust should be in the neighborhood of 350rwhp

 

My stock turbo on my car is basically maxxed out as far as power goes. Can't get much more out of it, so I'm upgrading the turbo soon. The car makes 325whp and 375wheel torque at 21psi of boost on race gas. And on pump gas I make 300whp and 330wheel torque.

LMAO sure..... these ricers wonder why they get slammed, coming into a CAMARO forum, and talkin on how "fast" his 300 HP STI is... Man with only 300 HP your STI is stock... And I have run my C5 when it was stock and beat modded sti's from a roll, and less than a second from the dig. Dont go saying you beat a modded C5 with your STI... Thanks...

Trust me I'm surprised I beat the C5 Vette, but I promise you the results are as I mentioned above. We went at it 3 different times and all of them I was ahead by half a car. I brake boosted everytime, and got the jump on him which lead to me being ahead from the outcome.

 

I'd love to run you if you lived in Texas. I'm not BS'ing. My car makes 405hp to the flywheel and 450 lb ft of torque. If you think that's stock then go right ahead. Hehe.

 

Video tape it, then ill believe it... Untill then, if he's modded, you have no hope in hell... Or he cant drive his car, that is the ONLY way you'd beat him.

 

he did say whp. yes, it is a little tactless to use your first post to tell us about killing fbodies, but hey it happens. the awd in the sti has more parasitic loss than the rwd setup that we have, so he may be in the neighborhood of 400bhp or so.

either way, we are above the normal ricer forums here where we just throw a giant shiz storm every time an fbody loses a race. if he has 325whp im not sure how he pulled a c5 with full boltons because the c5 should be more powerful and lighter, but hey it was the street, it could happen.

 

So in the last few seconds you gained over 100 HP?? Nicely done... wish my supercharged vette could do that....... He specter... how many HP a second do you get talking online?
