Did you score anything at the swap meet?

Not much. The whole swap meet has always been more oriented towards roundy round dirt track racing, but always had a lot of other stuff too. This year it was 99% circle track stuff.
My buddy Mike got a bag full of good used heim joints for $5, and I bought a guy's scrap bin full of heavy wall tubing for $5, just to use for future projects. Other than that it was a waste of time. Canby next Sunday, and NWDRA at Clark County the following Sat.

Thanks! I got the US304 that have 18 valve settings, and the chrome coil springs. They wont be visible, which is a shame considering how trick they look! Paid $329 for the pair with springs on a sale at Speedway Motors, which was about $170 off the regular price for shocks and springs. Got a spanner wrench kicked in for another $6 to make sure I could adjust the preload.

Got the new coilovers and springs Friday, and unfortunately someone at Speedway boxed the springs up wrong. Box read 8" chrome coils, but inside were 10" chrome coils. Called them this morning and they were great! They apologized and after not being able to find more 8" springs in the same price range, they upgraded them to springs that were nearly twice the price at no extra cost! They are sending out the new springs today, and sent me a UPS shipping label to return the mismarked springs.

Speedway is probably one of the best companies to deal with in terms of customer service. Same with summit and PUI interiors.

I've purchased from all three, but never had to use PUI for any Customer Service yet. Summit has been fantastic too!

Yeah PUI was really good. My grandparents got me new seat foam for the front seats in the 68 for Christmas 3 or 4 years ago. We didn't get around to opening the boxes till a year ago to finally swap the foam when we realized the box was marked 68 deluxe but had 67 std in it. PUI was great we sent some picture showing the box and foam and they sent us a new correct set and told us to keep the others. So now I have another new set of foam.

Well here's a real turn of events. Set the old coil springs out yesterday to be picked up by UPS and they were stolen off the porch. Sent Speedway a email and told them I wouldn't be returning the shocks as they'd been stolen before UPS could pick them up! I just got this email from Speedway customer service:

"Thank you for the email information. I have processed your refund today to your PayPal account. If the police have any luck, they can send the springs back to us.

Thank you for choosing Speedway Motors!!"

So now I'm beyond shocked! I've never had anything like this ever happen with a company, and it goes well beyond what I'd ever expect from any company! I hope everyone passes the word what a great company Speedway is to deal with; I know I will!

And I got the new coilovers installed this morning. It sits about 1.5" lower in back now, and rides a little less firm than before. I'm going to drive it awhile, and then maybe soften it up a tad more. Set the spring preload at 1/3 and the gas at 12 clicks. Might drop another .5" out of the springs to soften more, and take the gas setting to 8 clicks once I let them settle.
Sorry for the sun glare, but it's gorgeous here!
