what carb do i need?
i am considering supercharging my 68 camaro. i have looked at a few centrifugal supercharger kits. i want to keep my 406 carbureted and i know that i will need a boost sensitive carb with a mechanical secondary. i was wandering if anyone out there knew any part numbers of carbs that will work for me. i have heard that holley's hp series are the best blow through carb other than maybe a barry grant that might be a little pricy. i have no first hand experience with this and i am open to any suggestions opinions or knowledge.
thanks for your time.

The last car that I dealth with that used blow through was Studebaker Golden Hawk, and that was about 20 years ago. This thing was a pain in the butt to keep it running right. One of the problems was getting fuel to the carb under boost. As the boost pressure got higher than the fuel pressure the fuel would stop flowing into the carb. The factory solution was to use the supercharger to pressurize the fuel tank. ( No wonder they went broke)I am sure that by now someone has come up with a better idea. Ask the people selling the system what carb they recommend, and ask them about fuel delivery.
Personally I would prefer a roots blower kit with dual 4 barrels, as it is much easier to live with. Although, you will need to punch a hole through the hood

i appreciate your help z28pete. i love roots style as well but i just can't bring myself to chopping on my beautiful car. i know that if i tackle this project it will be a challenge requiring a better fuel pump, and a host of other things. i will appreciate all of your posts as i try to gather info. on this.
p.s. i also love the old supercharged golden hawks and avantis, but coulndn't see myself figuring one out.
